Pacific Rim: Uprising Trailer

Sound the alarms – looks like the apocalypse didn’t get cancelled, just postponed a bit. Get ready to enter the drift because the Pacific Rim: Uprising trailer is HERE

John Boyega (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) heads up the cast of the sequel as Jake Pentecost, son of Idris Elba’s character from the first movie. And doesn’t he sound just like his dad with that speech?

Also… wait… did those three Kaiju JUST MERGE INTO ONE?! Talk about upping the ante for the sequel, not only do we have Jaegers fighting supersized Kaiju but also each other? Can’t wait to see what makes that happen.

It’s great to see Charlie Day and Burn Gorman reprising their roles from the first movie. Can’t wait to see what hijinks ensue this time out.

Featuring five new Jaegers led by Gypsy Avenger, Pacific Rim: Uprising looks set to open 2018 with a bang!

Written and directed by Steven S. DeKnight (Smallville, Spartacus: Blood and Sand), the film also sees the return of Rinko Kikuchi as Mako Mori. Joining them, amongst others, are Scott Eastwood (Suicide Squad)

Several of the cast from DeKnight’s Spartacus – Dan Feuerriegel, Nick Tarabay and Dustin Clare – are also on board. As a long time fan of that show I’m thrilled and very excited to see what they get up to in this movie.

Pacific Rim: Uprising will be turbo-charging into theatres March 2018. For more updates, make sure you are following Pacific Rim on twitter. For an interactive experience, you can always Go Jaeger.

I'm a keen, albeit amateur, cosplayer and love attending cons in various cosplays. I'm also the resident comic book girl around these parts, especially small press comics, so if you've got an indie book you want reviewed, I'm your gal!
