(New York, N.Y.) – With just two weeks left until Destination America makes U.S. history with the first-ever live televised exorcism, everyone involved is hard at work preparing for the most dangerous night on television – including the demonic entities. Based on preliminary reports from world-renowned psychic medium Chip Coffey, who will lead efforts to communicate with what lurks in the house during the live special, the demons know we’re coming.

EXORCISM: LIVE! airs Friday, October 30 at 9/8c on Destination America, the #1 home for paranormal programming this fall. Follow along as a team of seasoned paranormal professionals embarks on what is considered by many a dangerous mission to investigate the original Exorcist house for paranormal activity, contact its demons, and once and for all, bring peace to the most haunted home in America.

The two-hour live special will revisit the story and the frightening house that inspired the iconic movie The Exorcist on its 66th anniversary. In 1949 at a house in St. Louis, an exorcism was performed on 14-year-old Roland Doe to rid him of demonic possession. No one has ever attempted to cleanse the house of the spirits and demons that remain there, until now. EXORCISM: LIVE! will feature the cast of Destination America’s hit series GHOST ASYLUM, the Tennessee Wraith Chasers, as well as psychic medium Chip Coffey.

Viewers will have the opportunity to take an active part in EXORCISM: LIVE! by following multiple live camera feeds set up around the house online at DestinationAmerica.com/ExorcismLive. Destination America encourages viewers to serve as extra eyes and ears for the team throughout the special by scanning the live camera feeds on their home computers and reporting mysterious activity either on the adjacent comment board or on Twitter. Tweet observations @DestAmerica using #ExorcismLive. Select tweets will appear live on air and help suggest where paranormal hot spots may be developing.

The social media maestro behind EXORCISM: LIVE! will be St. Louis media personality Dave Glover. As the Interactive Correspondent, Glover will report throughout the show about what’s trending on Twitter to inform the team of what room they should investigate next. If tweets pour in about anomalies in the attic, for example, the team will shift their focus to that area of the house.

Glover is no stranger to being the on-air voice for viewers, nor is he a stranger to the Exorcist house. The Dave Glover Show has been driving St. Louis home on local radio station FM NewsTalk 97.1 for more than 15 years, and the Halloween episode has become an annual favorite. In 2008, Glover ran a contest for three lucky listeners to win a nighttime investigation at the Exorcist house. Footage never before seen on television will reveal the immediate terror inflicted upon one winner and the frightening encounter that sent another running and screaming from the house.

Digital exclusives and extra information can also be found on DestinationAmerica.com. There, curious fans will find a history of the house and Roland Doe’s case as well as a field guide to the tools the EXORCISM: LIVE! team will have on hand throughout the show.
