WATCH: Outsiders Season 2 Trailer

Outsiders Season 2

Outsiders is going back to Shay Mountain

The first trailer for the incredible WGN show Outsiders has dropped and so have our collective jaws.

We left Shay Mountain at the end of season 1 as the Farrells, led by new Bren’in G’win (Gillian Alexy), summoned the magic of the mountain down on poor Sheriff Wade Houghton (Thomas M. Wright). Wade survived but things are much darker up on the mountain. A fence has been erected. “We ain’t trapped up here, they trapped down there.” G’Win says, with some degree of certainty, but I bet those coal folks think different.

Not all of the clan are content up on the mountain, but it’s not who you might think heading to town. Lil Foster (Ryan Hurst) gets arrested and is making deals with Wade, while wild child Hasil (Kyle Gallner) is bare-knuckle fighting for cash. Could it be he’s making money to run away with Sally-Anne? From the trailer their On-Off relationship seems to be firmly On right now. Meanwhile former Lostie Asa (Joe Anderson) is causing all kinds of trouble in town. It’s unclear if he’s talking about his family or the townsfolk when he says “I hope they rot in whatever hell they’re heading to.”

There’s also a surprise appearance from David Morse as Big Foster pointing a gun at lord knows who. Last we saw he seemed pretty dead, but there’s some kind of supernatural force at work on Shay so maybe he’s been brought back. Or it could be a dream. I am excited to see him back for season 2, Big Foster’s rise and fall last season was compelling!

Outsiders returns on WGN on January 24th, 2017. I don’t know about you FANdemaniacs, but that seems like an awful long wait. Let us know what you’re most excited to see when season 2 begins.

Hey, I'm Clare, aka Ciara or C. My current fandoms are RWBY and The Last Kingdom along with a bunch of other stuff I tend to let build up and then binge! I'm a keen, albeit amateur, cosplayer and love attending cons in various cosplays. I'm also the resident comic book girl around these parts, especially small press comics, so if you've got an indie book you want reviewed, I'm your gal!
