Billboard Awards
Sunday evening in Las Vegas, NV Billboard held their annual award show and it was just as loud, flashy, and crazy just like the city it was in. The show was not hosted by the usual funny stand up but by Mrs. Kelly Clarkson.
Well as award shows go this was pretty much the same. With several wardrobe changes by Clarkson and not so funny jokes. I enjoyed Kelly’s opening of the show in where she did a smash up of all the the top songs. It was funny and cool to see some of the artists reaction to her performing their hits.

Performances
Billboard did not fall short with the performances this year. There were several amazing collaborations between Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato. They performed their new debut song, ‘Fall in Line’.

But the one that had tears in almost everyone’s eyes was Shawn Mendes and Khalid performing their song ‘Youth’ they were joined on stage by Marjory Stoneman choir. All the teens were wearing hoodies that said “Youth” on them. This song gave me goose bumps. Such a powerful messages.

Old Skool
Billboard took us way back with a few of their performers and I must say I was impressed. I was singing and dancing infront of my TV as hip-hop rap legends Salt-N-Pepa did a smash up of all there top hits including ‘What a Man’ that featured 90s R&B all girl group En Vogue. Sadly I could find a good clip to show you of this performance but there is a short one on Billboards page if you wanna see it.

That’s right she showed up and killed it. Janet Jackson received Billboard’s Icon Award. This was her first television performance in nine years and her first time she has performed as a mom. And mother hood hasn’t slowed her down one bit.
