The Last Kingdom Movie Begins Filming
In an instagram video on the official account for The Last Kingdom, star Alexander Dreymon confirmed that filming has begun on Seven Kings Must Die, The Last Kingdom movie which is set to wrap up the story of Uhtred of Bebbanburg after the 5th season on Netflix.

From location in Budapest, Alexander Dreymon said: ‘I’m on the set of The Last Kingdom. The first time I was on this set was in November 2014, and back then I had no idea that we were all going to get to stay on this wonderful adventure for as long as we have. Today we are on the first day of The Last Kingdom special, and I’ve said it before, I can never say it enough, we would not be here without you and your wonderful support.’
He’s then joined by co-star Arnas Fedaravicius, who plays Sihtric Kjartenson, as they say “we hope that you will find this special as special as we are to each other.” Adorable goofballs that they are.
There is still no word on a premiere date for season 5 on Netflix, but rest assured the moment we hear something we will let you know.
