The Bold Type
I can’t say enough about The Bold Type. This show is to Freeform as Sex in the City was to HBO. I am beyond happy when I found out that Freeform picked it up for a second season. This season is only two episodes in, so you still have time to catch up.
But let’s jump into this week’s episode. It starts up with Jane Sloane (Katie Stevens) is dealing with her new unemployment status. And let’s just say she isn’t handling it well at all. And her work search isn’t going so well either.

Jane does get a one job interview, but sadly, she doesn’t get the job. She does, however, convince the Editor to read a freelance piece. In which he picks the very cute doctor from last week’s episode. Doctor Ben Chau (Luca James Lee) is more than happy to help Jane with her article.

He is the complete package and the way Jane looks at him, looks like she wants his package, if you know what I mean.
To hire a friend of a friend?
Sutton’s (Meghann Fahy) boss Oliver (Stephen Conrad Moore) leaves her in charge of a simple photo shoot of some jewelry. All she has to do is hire a photographer and have them shoot the jewelry with some candy. Kat (Aisha Dee) has this brilliant idea for Sutton to hire Adena (Nikohl Boosheri),her girlfriend, cause she is looking for work and is a wonderful photographer.
Sutton is on the fence about hiring her, so she asks some advice from the amazing wonderful Jacqueline (Melora Hardin).

The shoot is not going the way Sutton had hoped. It seems her and Adena have very different views on how the shoot should be going.

But after a little chat with Kat, and by chat I mean a little fight, Sutton and Adena come to terms. The shoot turns out way better than they thought it would.

What I love the most about this show is how there is always some sort of positive messages tied into the comedy. This week’s message being about body types. It was done beautifully. I would tell you more about it ,but I really think you need to watch to see what happens. It will make you smile. There is even a guest appearance by Tess Holliday. She is totally a stunning woman.
