Superman and Lois “Worlds War Bizarre” Roundtable

Only one more episode to go and this was a doozy. Between Superman being human and everything turning square we have a lot to chat about. Join PurpleBrina and CiaraCobb for their Superman and Lois “Worlds War Bizarre” Roundtable discussion.

Superman and Lois “Worlds War Bizarre” Synopsis

A weary Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) holds vigil at Superman (Tyler Hoechlin)’s bedside; Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alex Garfin) continue to worry about their father, who seems more human now than ever; John Henry (Wole Parks) and Natalie (Tayler Buck) work together to figure out the best way to defend against Ally Allston (Rya Kihlstedt)’s powers.

We start off seeing Superman/Clark on the mend. A very very slow mend. Clark has John Henry fly him to the fortress to see if his mom could help. Do you think there is a way to speed up Superman/Clark recovery?

C: I don’t think he will fully recover until they beat Ally in some way. Although I have absolutely no idea how they are going to do that. I don’t even think flying him closer to the sun would help at this point, from what his mother said it is more like him re-developing his powers than just being de-charged.

PB: I think they need to find a way to use Ally’s powers against her. Like reverse it so that Superman will drain power from her. She is mad with power right now. Or maybe they could just fly Superman to the sun and let him float in space until he is recharged.

Superman and Lois Worlds War Bizarre

One of the sweetest and saddest moments this episode was Natalie accepting that the Kent’s are her family too. Do you think the Kent’s have finally grown on her?

PB: I loved that Natalie is finally softening when it comes to the Kents, especially Clark/Superman. She has hated him for so long, it was nice to see her be nicer and softer to them. Sad that she had to be upset over her father to see it but they all are gonna need each other.

C: It does seem that way, and it was especially lovely to see the way she has changed around Clark/Superman. She’s finally realised that he is completely different to the one on her world, and that she can trust him.

Natalie and John Henry figure out where Ally is and John Henry decides to go fight her alone, which of course doesn’t work because Ally is a freak of nature and has so much power. Do you think they will be able to find John Henry?

C: For Natalie’s sake I hope so, but surely the chances are pretty slim given that he’s just floating in nothingness between worlds. Maybe there’s a chance his suit comes back online and he’s able to find his way back, but I’m honestly not holding my breath.

PB: I really hope he isn’t dead. Because Natalie would be no good if she lost both her parents.  They have to be able to get him back so they can help Superman kick Ally’s ass.

Trying to protect Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Sarah (Inde Navarrette), Jordan reveals he has powers. Do you think Sarah’s reaction to her mom is right?

PB: I knew Sarah wasn’t gonna take it well but I thought her anger would have been aimed at Jordan, not at her mom. But the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, Sarah is kinda reacting the same way her mom did. I honestly think Sarah is gonna forgive Jordan but still be mad at her mom.

C:  Yeah, I gotta agree, she’s doing the exact same thing as her mother, getting pissed at someone who didn’t have the right to tell her such a huge secret.

In the end, it seems Ally has almost completed her merge of the worlds. How do you think people on Earth will recover from this?

C: I mean… can you recover from being merged with a bizarre alien version of yourself? If there is any way to fix this, to unmerge the worlds, I have to hope it comes with an automatic memory wipe or something, because this is too huge to just let go.

PB: I honestly think we need  that memory zipper from Men In Black. Because I don’t know how they will ever trust any alien or human with power again. We gonna need a memory wipe.
