PurpleBrina and Clare are back to chat about the latest episode of Superman and Lois – Girl… You’ll Be A Woman, Soon. There were some big revelations this episode, so let’s get into it.
Girl… You’ll Be a Woman, Soon Synopsis
Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui), Kyle (Erik Valdez) and Sarah (Inde Navarrette) prepare for Sarah’s quinceañera, but things don’t end up going as smoothly as they had hoped; Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) finds himself struggling with feelings of guilt about what happened to John Irons.
Do you think Chrissy (Sofia Hasmik) is ever gonna forgive Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch)? Or do you think Lois should just give up and move on?
C: I think Chrissy isn’t seeing the bigger picture. She’s been swayed by a very persuasive personality in Ally (Rya Kihlstedt) , and there’s clearly more to Ally’s “cult” and the pendant than we realised before, given that opening scene.
PB: I think Chrissy is weak and she let someone get into her head. Lois isn’t a bad reporter or sister. She is always looking out for her family’s best interest. I feel it will come out soon enough that this lady is nothing but a cult leader.
Why do you think this new General (Ian Bohen) already has so much hate for Superman?
PB: I honestly think it is that position of power. They all seem to hate Superman because he has more power than they can even imagine. It will never change.
C: Given that Tag (Wern Lee) gave Anderson the pendant, and then “someone” gave it back to Ally, I’m wondering if he’s part of her Cult. Seems like Ally is who Faulkner was working for after all, trying to break down the barrier between Bizarro world and ours.
Chrissy does an interview with Ally Allston and she drugs her. Were you surprised?
C: Not in the slightest. It was obvious Ally had a plan and she executed it without hesitation.
PB: This Ally person is batshit crazy. She is wrapped up in some alien rollercoaster ride that she believes is true. She is playing a bad game of “flatliners’ ‘ and it’s finally gonna catch up to her.
The boys are training with their Grandpa, a former General. Were you in shock to see Jonathon (Jordan Elsass) use the “krypto” inhaler against his brother (Alex Garfin)?
PB: I wasn’t, it was a matter of time that he was gonna use it against his brother. They have that sibling rivalry thing going. It was bound to happen. I really wonder if Jon taking this is waking up his superpowers or if it is really a side effect to the inhaler.
C: I wasn’t surprised. He wouldn’t be taking the inhaler if he wasn’t feeling inferior to his brother, at least on some level, and seeing him being trained by Sam would hit Jon where it hurts. I really do hope that it’s just bringing out his latent abilities, and it’s not just the effects of the X-K in the inhaler.
Superman and Bizarro fight yet again. This time Superman finally notices they are complete opposites. Thoughts on this fight?
PB: I love seeing Bizarro and Supes fight. It makes my Superman loving fangirl heart just scream for joy. Haha
C: Loved it. Especially that moment of realisation in “our” Clark, and how he uses the X-K in the mines to kick Bizarro’s ass. The flame breath v ice breath was cool, and I love Bizarro’s freeze vision.
So Kyle cheated on Lana and now it has come to light and may ruin Lana’s chance at her run for Mayor. Not to mention Sarah overheard it. Do you think she is gonna bring up more depression issues for her?
C: I think it is going to come out for sure. No way the sleazy current Mayor won’t use everything he can in this fight. I was amazed at the way Lana handled it, she kept the night on track, even when Sarah was having a panic attack and wanting to call everything off. I hope that, as a family, they can get past this, but I do think it’s gonna be rough for the Lang-Cortez family for a while. And I hope it doesn’t hurt Sarah too badly.
PB: I wanna say Sarah has every right to be upset and hurt over what her dad did but I am beyond proud of Lana and how she handled it like a Queen. They both are a lot stronger than anyone gets them both credit for.
By the end we see Chrissy has finally turned around and is on Lois’ side. Do you think they are going to be able to take Ally down and get Bizarro under control?
C: I think after what Bizarro said in the Fortress we might have a team up in store between Supes and Bizarro (which will be EPIC). They need to get the pendant, that seems to be the key to whatever power or ability Ally has. I’m intrigued to find out how Bizarro had it, when we saw Ally get it as a child.
PB: I really hope so but there will be more drama before they get in under control for sure.

PB: I hate the way Clark kisses Lois…..it is the worst! They really need to work on that and if Lois is busy I volunteer as tribute.
