STOP THE PRESS! The CW Fall Premiere Schedule Has Arrived!!
Its an exciting time to be a fan of The CW!! With the impending expansion back into Sunday night programming, the network has more room for original programming since it has had since 2009 when it originally shifted to only 5 days of original scripted content.
This is welcome news for fans of several of the networks lower-rated shows, which may not have made the cut otherwise. Even so, space on The CW 2018-2019 schedule is tight given that the network granted early renewals to 10 of its current shows.
The CW also enters into the fall season with a slew of promising pilots to choose from that ranges from predictable (who’s ready for those Roswell and Charmed reboots?) to ones that feel really fresh, which is becoming uncommon in todays television.
The series roll outs begin on October 9th with the return of The Flash and Black Lightning. Then the series premieres of All American (9pm Wednesday 10th), the hotly antipiated Charmed reboot (9pm Sunday 14th) and the one i’m most looking forward too, Legacies (9pm Thursday 25th).
The CW said at its upfront in May that Supergirl will move to Sundays as a lead-in for Charmed.
One change from the lineup unveiled last month is a time-period swap for its Monday superhero dramas. Season 7 of Arrow will kick off at 8pm October 15th, and a week later it will be followed by the fourth season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow at 9.
As noted in May, the final seasons of Jane of Virgin and iZombie will launch midseason.
