Steve Jobs Biopic: Natalie Portman in Talks

Natalie Portman is the latest name to be attached to the upcoming biopic about Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.  In an exclusive on Deadline.com, it is stated that she is in talks to be cast as an unknown character, but the part would be a major role.

EXCLUSIVE: Should a deal get done, the Oscar winner’s casting would mark another positive reversal of fortune for the Danny Boyle-helmed project. Deadline revealed last week that it had been put in turnaround by Sony Pictures, to the shock of many in the industry. Universal picked it up Monday.

Also, in the news for this movie, Michael Fassbender is being sought out to play the role of Steve Jobs.  This role previously had Christian Bale cast, but he turned it down.

The film is produced by Scott Rudin, Christian Colson, Mark Gordon and Guymon Casady.

With Universal taking the helm, will this film finally be put into production?  I guess we will have to wait to see.
