Soundtrack Sunday: The Fast and The Furious

Soundtrack Sunday

Welcome back to Soundtrack Sunday, this week I am going back to a love of mine and probably of yours with its recent release with its 7th film in the sequence of fast cars and action and big names, I decided that we should revisit the soundtrack to the first film in the franchise that is a worldwide phenomenon.
Big names in the cast that we all have come to love are Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Rick Yune, Chad Lindberg and many more, Yes folks that right it’s ‘The Fast and The Furious, with its release in 2001 we all fell in love with the cars, the stars and of course the dynamic of people doing what they love even if it bends the rules, but showing the dangerous side to that life at the same time and not just the fun side.

I have loved all these films and I thought remembering the soundtrack to the first film, the one that set our hearts racing with the cars and the culture and I have explained my choices for the tracks, even though all the tracks are amazing, especially since I have both CD’s and spent many a day driving to University listening to these songs.

The First Track I have picked is Superstar by Saliva, this is one of many tracks that I like to listen to that makes me think of the film.

My next choice is Watch Your Back by Benny Cassette, this song as you will see is the song used when Brian has a fight with Vince outside the shop after Brian orders his tuna sandwich, it’s a song that really fits the scene and introduces a lot of characters and I do love it.

Next I have picked Race Wars by BT, a lot of the music done By BT is amazing and Fits the film I have to say that the music really suits the type of lifestyle of the people who race cars like this, a lot of the street racing according to a behind the scenes VHS tape I once owned was actually the real street racers, their cars, their clothes and their lives, giving more realism to the films.

My last track is the Theme from the Fast and The Furious by BT, when I listen to this I always think about the film as a whole it depicts the mood of the whole film. For me it just ties it all up, I can express it in words but it is the film and fits it amazingly.
