What happened on Shameless – “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good… Eh, Screw It!”

We thought we got rid of Terry Milkovich, but we sadly didn’t. He’s back, even though he can’t really move on his own and no one actually cares. But this is the trigger for Mickey (Noel Fisher), who claimed to hate his dad so much to not really care about what happened to him. Seeing him like that, seems to woke up the good part in him, even after all the abuses he had to live because of him. Ian (Cameron Monaghan) is by his side, of course, and that’s when he tells Mickey “You’re so much better than that”. One of the best lines in a long time!

At the same time, we assist to a discussion of another important matter. We all remember the girl Carl (Ethan Cutkosky) met at the furniture shop and how he felt after sleeping with her. Whilte talking with his family about it, he realises (thanks to Debbie) that she actually raped him. What makes us wondering even more, is the reaction of the police woman when he presses charges.

And even if I know we all hated Frank (William H. Macy) for almost all the seasons, we have to mention that his current condition is breaking our heart. What will happen to him, without the support of his family?

Final Review

I have to say, this one was probably the best episode so far (in this season). The moment between Mickey, Terry and Ian got all of my attention and their acting was simply amazing. I loved how they managed to talk about a lot of important issues and showing them as normal as possible, something that not every show is capable to do. This is one of the episodes that reminds me of why Shameless is one of my favourite shows.
