Review: DC’s Legends of Tomorrow 606: Bishop’s Gambit

Legends 606: Bishop’s Gambit: What does Bishop want from Sara? Constantine gets sick of his houseguests, all while hiding his secret. Rory is close to finding Sara.

Major spoiler ahead!

Sara and Bishop

Sara(Caity Lotz), after killing Bishop(Raffi Barsoumian), confronts Bishop. You did read that right. Bishop, like Eva(Jes Macallan), is a clone. But he only clones himself one at a time. He also can clone anyone while keeping their memories, much to Sara’s surprise. He tells Sara that tech has advanced so much from her time that

You’re like a caveman to me.

A monkey. A cave-monkey.

Sara wants answers, and when she behaves, Bishop will give them to her. I like that Bishop tells Sara to conform. It is going to end so well for him.

At John’s(Matt Ryan) mansion, the Legends are making themselves a little too much to home. Behrad(Shayan Sobhian) is ordering lots of pizza(no replicator). Ava is messing up what little tech John has. Spooner(Lisseth Chavez) used all his tea for her skin. Nate(Nick Zano) is ruining Constantine’s best guitar. John has a headache, and Zari(Tala Ashe) takes him out for bubble and squeak.

Rory and Kayla

On Bishop’s planet, the pair find Kayla’s(Aliyah O’Brien) ship. It is damaged, but not beyond repair. Kayla warns Rory(Dominic Purcell) that the creatures that can survive beyond Bishop’s terraforming are deadly.

Things go about as well as they can when Gary(Adam Tsekhman) is involved.

Finding Amelia

Capturing Amelia Earhart(Jen Oleksiuk) in 1956, the Legends interrogate her. Being near Spooner does something to the clone, and it reverts to an alien form. Somehow, Spooner can speak its language, and that frightens her. She worries that the same thing will happen to her. The creature tells Ava that it killed Sara.

Astra’s Powers

A powerless John relies on Astra(Olivia Swann) to do the magic necessary to find out what happened with Amelia. When confronted afterwards, Astra says that John owes her, and she is his apprentice. John still has his secret.

Sara’s Sara, But Not?

Sara pretends to play nice to Bishop, but kicks his ass again. This time, however, she stumbles on something she didn’t expect. Her body. Sara died after she drank the potion Bishop gave her. She has been a clone all this time…
