This is the second character poster that Warner Bros. has released for the “defining chapter” in The Hobbit trilogy. Yesterday we got to see a poster featuring Bilbo and Sting, which you can check out on Geek Tyrant. One of the main things that I’m looking forward to seeing in this movie is how it will bridge the gap to The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy.
Gandalf has an incredibly intense and slightly concerned look in this new character poster for Peter Jackson‘s The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Ian McKellen‘s Gandalf has been the superglue that connects all of the Middle Earth movies together, and I can’t imagine what these movies would have been like without him. He is Gandalf.
The film will be released on December 17th. But until then..
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves. Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world.
