New X-Men: Days of Future Past stills released

First look at Bryan Singer’s mutant epic.

What with all the fuss about Thor: The Dark World and the Cap 2 trailer, it seems Bryan Singer doesn’t want us to forget about his superhero movie.

First came the cruelly short teaser trailer for the first X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer last week (below), and now a bunch of new stills from the film have hit the internet.

The images, released via Empire and Entertainment Weekly, show most of the principal cast as X-Men new and old unite for the latest installment in 20th Century Fox’s franchise.

And, as expected, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be an easy ride as the two mutants join forces across timelines to save their kind.

As well as the requisite game of chess between old friends Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender) , we see Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine bullet-ridden and hitting the bottle in 1973 while Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page) and Iceman (Shawn Ashmore) look fairly worried in the present day.
