Pure Imagination Inks Production Deal With Stan Lee’s POW Entertainment For Animated Action Adventure Series The Amazing Stan
New Original Animated Series, The Amazing Stan, Envisions Legendary Stan Lee as a Kid
Pure Imagination Studios TWG, the award-winning independent micro-studio, has teamed with Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment to produce a first of its kind animated series that envisions what Stan Lee and his world was like when he was a kid. Emmy®nominated writer Scott Peterson (Escape from Cluster Prime (Nickelodeon), Phineas and Ferb (Disney) and writer for the forthcoming Netflix animated series The Last Kids on Earth), is developing the show based on a concept created by John P. Roberts, Chief Content Officer, Pure Imagination Worlds and Sanjee Gupta, co-creator. Stan Lee, the mastermind who gave life to The Avengers, Luke Cage, Daredevil, Dr. Strange, The Fantastic Four The Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Thor, X-Men and numerous other heroes and villains that transcended the comic book genre, gave the “green light” to “The Amazing Stan” prior to his passing. Roberts, Joshua Wexler, CEO of PI Studios, Gill Champion, President, Director and CEO of Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment and Bob Sabouni, Chief Marketing Officer of Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment will serve as executive producers. Fans got a sneak peek when The Amazing Stan was announced today at San Diego Comic-Con, during the panel A Celebration of Stan Lee’s Life and Legacy in room 5AB.
The Amazing Stan tells the story of the young Stan Lee, the constant dreamer who treats his childhood like a testing ground for adventures that will one day fuel his world-famous characters. Stan and his friends imagine themselves in and out of these amazing experiences as they learn to take risks, explore new ideas, and never ever give up.
