Music Monday Songs with Deep Meaning to Me
Let me start off by saying l love music. It really makes my life better. But some songs give me goose bumps and some bring me to tears. Last year was tough for us all but I am thankful for music, it really got me through. I thought I would share some songs that have deep meaning to me.
“For you I Will” by Monica
This song has been popping up on my playlist a lot lately. This song brings me to tears everytime I hear it. I am not sure it’s a love song but I have always felt this is a song from a parent to a child. The lyrics just touch me so much and makes me think of my son. Cause I would do anything for him. He is the greatest thing I have ever done in my life. This really is my song to him, I used to sing this song to him when he was in my belly and I sing it now to him even though he is a bratty mouthy teenager and my singing embarrassed him.
“Man in the Mirror” By Michael Jackson
You can’t go wrong with MJ and he has so many songs that hit my soul but this one will always hit. I always feel like this song can apply to life in so many ways. No matter what happens in life if you put this song on it will make you think about your life and how you can do better. We can do better for ourselves and for the world.
“Waiting for The End” by Linkin Park
I am a huge Linkin Park fan and I love me some Chester. This song sings my life in so many ways. It just reminds me of a bad break up or trying to make something work in my life that just wasn’t going to. But it has my second favorite song lyric,”The hardest part ending is starting again” this line is beyond true.
“Scars” by Papa Roach
This song was me. I tried my damnest to fix one of my ex’s and I always ended up hurting worse. He had an addiction problem and I was addicted to him. It was toxic but I eventually figured it out I had to let him go and let him fix himself. And fix myself in the process. This is just so powerful and meaningful to me.
“Only Human” by Sam Bradley
I don’t know who Sam wrote this song about but this song has always spoken to me. It hits me right in my heart and soul. So much I tattooed one of the lyrics on my wrist. Funny part is my lyrics are wrong but it still works. My tattoo reads, “Take a minute if you need it, and stop breathing; only human” but the lyric is, “Take a minute if you need it, and START breathing; only human” either way it still works and this song will always hold a place in my heart.
“A Thousand Years” By Christina Perri
As corny as it is this song brings me to tears. This song will forever be one of the best songs ever. My fellow twihards get it, they cry too. I could go on and on but I won’t. Cause that would be a whole another post.
