Music Monday: @aboyandhiskite / @davecwilton (Yeah, we know we are a day late)

We first met Dave Wilton, when he came to Miami with the Breaking Dawn part 2 promotion. He was quite and shy. To be honest when he saw the swarms of girls, screaming and squealing at him, he looked terrified. We were after all, there to see Charlie Bewley and Daniel Cudmore, Demetri and Felix of the Volturi.
Dave set up quietly, tuning his guitar his drummer getting ready to debut his song from the widely anticipated The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 soundtrack, ‘Cover Your Tracks’. The soundtrack at this time had not been released.

We asked Dave the name of the song he was going to do, and how he came up with the song, and how it was picked and put on the soundtrack. He shot us his shy smile and said he was on tour when he heard he was picked to be on the soundtrack. He hadn’t wrote, ‘Cover Your Tracks’, for the soundtrack, but it fit and was perfectly matched to the movie.
We caught up with Dave and his wife after the soundtrack was released. He was performing at Tent City in LA, and along with he lovely wife walked the famed black carpet. He was still shy and awe struck, and very humbled by the attention and love he was receiving from all of us rabid Twilight fans.
Congrats Dave, I am still your biggest fan, well besides your wife. Much happiness and success to you!
I hope you enjoy our music selection today. If you have never listened to the lyrics of this song, please do. They are haunting and raw and emotional.
Dave is an amazing talent, if you aren’t following him on twitter I think you should! He does the occasional tour, and he is a must see. @davecwilton
