Motor City Comic Con to Kick Off 29th Year as Michigan’s No. 1 Pop Culture Weekend Event

Dozens of celebrity and comic panels announced; fans can pay homage to the late Margot Kidder

 

What:

Motor City Comic Con, Michigan’s No. 1 family-friendly, pop culture event, kicks off three solid days of fun-filled, star-studded activities for movie, television and comic book fans of all ages at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi! Dozens of interactive panels will feature such stars as Oscar Nunez and Kate Flannery (The Office), Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville), Stephen Amell (Arrow), William Zabka (Karate Kid and Cobra Kai), Kirk Acevedo (Law and Order, OZ), Cress Williams, Nafessa Williams and China Anne McClain (Black Lightning), Summer Glau (Firefly, Terminator), Chosen Jacobs, Jaeden Lieberher, Jack Dylan Grazer, Jackson Robert Scott and Wyatt Oleff (Stephen King’s It), Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess), Jenna Elfman (Fear of the Walking Dead), Jerome Flynn (Game of Thrones), Julie Montgomery, Don Gibb and Larry B. Scott (Revenge of the Nerds), and Wallace Shawn (Princess Bride, Young Sheldon, Toy Story).

 

Actress Margot Kidder, who died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 13, was set to reunite with three of herSuperman cast members to toast the 40th anniversary of this iconic film. Attendees will be able to visit her booth to honor her memory and celebrate her career, as well as attend a panel at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 19 in Speaker Room 5 with Superman actors Jeff East, Jack O’Halloran and Aaron Smolinski.

More than 55,000 fans and cosplayers are expected to attend to meet, get autographs and take photos with 250+ comic book creators and illustrators as well as popular TV and film actors from the above movies and TV shows plus Sons of Anarchy, Batman Forever, Star Trek: Voyager, Boy Meets World, Star Trek Continues, How I Met Your Mother, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Lost Boys, and many more.
