Met Gala 2018 Outfits – The Best and the Worst
The 2018 Met Gala’s theme was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” and the stars really brought it with their looks. We were alternately blessed and cursed by some of them, so we decided to see who rocked religious iconography and whose fashion sense is eternally damned.

G – This girl could look amazing in a trash bag, and no-one does elegant better than Vera Wang. But please can someone give her a cheeseburger.
M- Eh.

G – I’m on the fence with this one. It’s a great dress but I’m undecided about Cardi. But she is working that cleavage.
M- I’m with Gia. Not sure what I think. Maybe without the big train I would think differently.
PB – This woman is wild! I am in shock she was there, she is new to the scene but she makes a statement in this dress. I am not sure what statement it is, but she made it L-O-U-D!
Priyanka Chopra in a Cardinal Red velvet Ralph Lauren gown and stunning beaded headpiece
S – oh my god is everything I can say! Not everyone can pull off a dress like this but she definitely made it! Looking SO stunning! Totally in love with it!
C – I saw a couple of outfits featuring chainmail hoods but holy crap, this one is incredible. Olivia Munn take notes!
G – I love this dress! She is stunning in it.
M- I cannot love this more! She is a stunningly beautiful woman. The dress seems to be made for her. Perfection!
PB – She looks amazing.
Katy Perry looked heavenly in these MASSIVE angel wings
S – The outfit is okay if you ask me. The wings make it kinda awesome tho! It seems like they must weigh a ton or more. Thumbs up Katy for running around in that dress for hours probably! Definitely not my favourite look tho.
G – I prefer Katy’s other “brothel curtain” look. But props to her for wearing those wings for hours. She’s a trooper.
M- It’s…okay. I’ve come to expect over the top from her so it really didn’t impress me.
PB- The wings are over the top.
Zendaya channelling Joan of Arc in this stunning chainmail and armour custom gown from Versace
C – Props to her stamina cos chainmail is heavy AF! Gown looks amazing, and she really committed to the look with that hairstyle. I swear it’s the same as every illustration of Joan of Arc I’ve ever seen!
G – Love this! and her hair is amazing!! She makes the chain mail look effortless.
M- Nope definitely not my favorite look of the night.
PB – I would follow her in to battle.
Blake Lively astounded in this red gown with embellished headdress from
C – that headdress is STUNNING, it’s a straight up religious icon painting halo and I love it!
S – I totally agree with you C! Like seriously!! We all know Blake is stunning but this dress .. she looks like a goddess! Can’t say it often enough!
G – This is my favourite MET dress. I watched her Instagram story when she was showing her boots (Louboutin) and they are spectacular. I think she even had Christian Louboutin helping her into them.
M- Blake always brings out her best at the MET. Gorgeous!
PB – Best dress of the night!!
Gigi Hadid in Versace
M- This is one of my favorite looks of the evening. Some of Gigi’s choices usually have me cringing, but this stained glass effect is gorgeous!
PB- No Comment
And it wasn’t just the ladies that brought it on the White Carpet this year. There were a decent number of guys who eschewed the usual black tux and went with the theme.
Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman brought it this white and gold Versace outfit
C – I’m really not sure about this one, I think it’s the shoes that are killing it for me. Or is it the cape? The suit itself is great.
G – Chadwick looks awesome. So many men go to these event in a tux and don’t put any effort in, but Chadwick has knocked it out of the park
M- Chadwick looks great but the tux, not so much. For me anyway.
PB – Love him but this gold was over the top.
Jared Leto has clearly been waiting for this theme for a while and rolled up in this Gucci number.
C – yeah, it’s official. All these years we’ve been saying he looks like Jesus with that hair/beard combo have finally tipped him over the edge. What’s going on with that crown? Someone needs to take Jared’s Gucci privileges away!
G – hahaha Jared must have laid an egg when he heard about the theme. He looks great, he’s really taken it to another level. He looked his best in pictures with Lana Del Rey, they looked like they matched.
M- How does that saying go? If you don’t have anything nice to say….yup. I’ll leave that right there.
PB- y’all already know this man is Jesus’s twin so, he is king, so he might as well dress the part!
Darren Criss Sparkles
M-I just don’t think I like this theme for the men. Take the blazer off and lengthen the pants and MAYBE I’d be okay with it. Maybe.
PB- Was there a flood? His pant is hella high?!?!
