Lizzy Caplan has joined James Franco and Seth Rogen in upcoming comedy ‘The Interview’

The ‘Bachelorette’ actress has been cast as the female lead opposite Seth Rogen and James Franco in the upcoming spy thriller spoof.
Franco plays a handsome talk show host who mistakenly gets involved in a plot to assassinate the North Korean Prime Minister along with his producer buddy (Rogen).
Deadline reports that Caplan, 31, is on board to play intelligence operative Agent Lacey in the movie, which is being directed by long-time collaborators Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
The comedy duo – who recently teamed up for ‘This Is The End’ – are working from a script based on their original idea cooked up with ‘Daily Show’ veteran Dan Sterling. Filming begins this autumn in Vancouver, Canada.
Franco, Rogen and Goldberg previously starred together in Paul Feig and Judd Apatow’s cult TV series, ‘Freaks & Geeks’, which aired from 1999 to 2000.
Meanwhile, Rogen and Goldberg are also working on the unlikely-sounding story of an animated sausage.
The R-rated movie, called ‘Sausage Party’, is about a lonely banger’s journey to discover the truth about his existence after falling out of a shopping trolley.
