Hottie of the Week – Alisha Wainwright

hottie-of-theweek

Welcome to Hottie of the Week.

This Friday we are changing things up a bit, since Hottie tends to get a little heavy on the masculine front. Our subject this week is the newest addition to the Shadowhunters cast – Alisha Wainwright!

Alisha is joining the cast in season 2 playing Maia Roberts. Maia is a werewolf, one of Luke’s pack, with a long and interesting history which I really hope they explore on the show. For those who haven’t read the books I will not say too much, except that Maia ties in with several members of the cast in very important ways so it’s going to be exciting to see how she fits in. It’s also great to see another female joining our already awesome cast!

Now, while Maia only has a small resume of TV/movie credentials you might well recognise her from things like the Lays Tinder-style commercial.

Dunno about you, but I think I’d have skipped the chips.

For those of you who do know a bit about Maia, seems like they have made a few tweaks to her appearance. When she was first announced I thought she looked exactly how I imagined Maia but this make-up trailer selfie seems to suggest that her outfits might be a little sexier in the show than book Maia.

She’s an avid instagrammer/tweeter and loves posting selfies and modelling shots like these

BONUS shirtless Dom Sherwood!!!

She seems to have bonded with the rest of the cast pretty well, especially if this pic from a recent trip to Niagara Falls is anything to go by. I mean, can you say Squad Goals?

She loves to travel and her instagram is littered with stunning pics. I really suggest you follow her account for all the latest goings on.

Hey, I'm Clare, aka Ciara or C. My current fandoms are RWBY and The Last Kingdom along with a bunch of other stuff I tend to let build up and then binge! I'm a keen, albeit amateur, cosplayer and love attending cons in various cosplays. I'm also the resident comic book girl around these parts, especially small press comics, so if you've got an indie book you want reviewed, I'm your gal! When I'm not doing the fangirl thing I am a keen long-distance hiker, having completed Te Araroa in New Zealand and The Pacific Crest Trail on the West Coast of the US.
