‘Grimm’ EPs promise Sergeant Wu ‘loses it’ in Season 4

Sergeant Wu’s life isn’t going to get much easier the more Grimm Season 4 progresses. In fact, after finding Trubel’s Wesen book and discovering that the Aswang he saw wasn’t something he made up in his head, he might be done with the Portland police force all together.
When asked for a tease of Wu’s Season 4 journey, executive producer Jim Kouf simply states, “He loses it.” When asked to elaborate, EP David Greenwalt says, “He gets very, very upset with all the stories.”
This doesn’t bode well for Wu’s future, especially since being a police officer keeps putting him back in the Wesen line of fire.
“He’s done with being a cop,”
Kouf says. Greenwalt teases,
“He’s not getting a straight answer from anybody, but eventually [this season] he’ll get some kind of answer.”
But that’s not the only trouble on the horizon. With Nick and Juliette facing a potentially relationship-ending dilemma, they might not be able to surmount this latest Wesen crisis. Kouf and Greenwalt are taking an “anything is possible” approach to whether their main couple will remain a couple.
As for a tease of when Nick will get his powers back, Kouf says,
“It will get resolved, and it won’t take that long. It takes a lot of time because there’s a lot of issues for Nick to deal with — like, maybe it would be better off not to be a Grimm. And Juliette might feel the same way too after all they’ve been to. They both need to a conclusion that he does need to be a Grimm, and then how do you fix it, or is it even remotely fixable.”
Beyond Nick’s story-line, Bitsie Tulloch previously told Zap2it that Juliette has a big story-line on the horizon. When asked to elaborate, Kouf quips,
“Did she tell you about the pregnancy test?”
Taking the serious approach, Greenwalt says,
“We can’t elaborate except to say that it fits in with our horror genre, the horrific part of Grimm, and it’s going to turn a lot of heads.”
Grimm airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
