Fifty Shades of Grey to film in Vancouver

The worldwide bestseller will be adapted for film in Vancouver. Apparently we have enough shades of grey here.

Filming on the Fifty Shades of Grey film adaptation is scheduled to begin at Vancouver’s North Shore Studios Nov. 5, reports the U.S. industry insider website Production Weekly.
Britain’s Sam Taylor-Johnson (Nowhere Boy) is directing the movie, which stars Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy, Pacific Rim) as billionaire Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson (TV’s Ben and Kate) as college student Anastasia Steele. The movie is based on the erotic novel by E.L. James.
The production was listed on the Director’s Guild of Canada’s B.C. website under the fake title The Adventures of Max & Banks. Filming is set to wrap Jan. 28.
