New Fantastic Four Official Character Descriptions Reveal Neat New Details

Fantastic Four

The official Fantastic Four movie website was updated this weekend with new character descriptions featuring information on the fearless foursome. Most of it is pretty standard information, but interestingly enough, they made one pretty subtle change to Reed Richards’ power.

According to the description, Richards’ power is described as the ability to

“warp the space around him, and appear to stretch his body into impossible forms and to incredible lengths.”

Maybe it sounds better than just saying he’s super stretchy. The voice over (delivered by Reg E. Cathey as Dr. Franklin Storm) explains a bit about his growing up in a hostile environment.

Sue Storm’s is described as being incredibly independent, highly intelligent, and a loner. For those of you keeping track at home, yes, the text description does describe her as beautiful. Johnny Storm is, as you could probably guess, a total hothead ;). Apparently he’s also… overcompensating, according to the voice over.

The voice over description of Ben Grimm’s  description seems at odds with the text, in that the voice over describes him as uncooperative and a bit standoffish, but the text says that he’s

“warm, even sensitive, despite his rough-and-tumble upbringing.”

There’s cool little touches on each of the descriptions, where you can go and see their cellular changes “under the microscope.” Neat little trivia bits abound in the information popups.

So are you looking forward to the Fantastic Four? Or does the idea of a reboot make you ill? We want to hear from you FANdemaniacs!
