Outlander: Prestonpans Book Two’s Tenth Episode Airs June 11^TH At 9PM ET/PT On Starz

The battling begins in this week’s episode of Outlander: Prestonpans, airing this Saturday, June 11^th at 9PM ET/PT. Jamie and Claire each play their part in history as the Jacobites battle the British forces. Video and photos from this episode can be viewed below.

Bonnie Prince Charlie (Andrew Gower) is back on Scottish land and with it comes the expected beginning of war. There is definitely going to be some battle scenes in this episode. And I am now curious who that young fellow is in the preview. As per the pictures below and from last week’s episode Je Suis Prest we know we are still going to see Dougal (Graham McTavish) and the rest of the highlander men Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix), Rupert (Grant O’Rourke) and of course Angus (Stephen Walters).

Trusting in Claire’s (Caitriona Balfe) knowledge of “history,” Jamie (Sam Heughan) leads the Jacobite army into a critical battle with British opposition near the town of Preston. Meanwhile, Claire attends to the dead and dying, a reminder of the truest costs of war.

Writer-producer Matthew B. Roberts described this week’s episode to The Hollywood Reporter as follows:

“Next episode is titled, Prestonpans. The episode encompasses the Battle of Prestonpans. We’re going to take Jamie and his troops and integrate them within the bigger Highland army. Prince Charlie returns and the first half is all these people trying to jockey for a position with him. Jamie is the one person who doesn’t have to since he already has the Prince’s ear. And through knowledge of Claire, he knows they’re going to win this battle, so he’s a little more relaxed than you would normally see a person going into a battle. So what we need to show in Prestonpans is how they win this battle. We stay true to the actual battle, it was about eight minutes long total and we pretty much almost show it in real time.”
