Elizabeth Banks is set to make her directorial debut with the release of ‘Pitch Perfect 2’.
In a recent interview with ABC News, she talked about how it was sad to finish her last day on the set of ‘The Hunger Games’, but that she was excited for the new challenges coming up.
“It’s a big responsibility, but I was really excited to take it on and try to do it confidently,” she said. “[The original] was lightning in a bottle and it was such a surprise to see how the movie was received. The whole ‘Cups’ phenomenon was a surprise to all of us. It came from the authenticity of the movie, and this time around we were really aiming to do that again and be pure in our intention to tell more of the story of these characters that people have fallen in love with.”

I’m not sure about you but I loved ‘PitchPerfect’. Everyone loves a musical smack down and ‘Pitch Perfect” is full of great ones. I think that ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ is going to just as good or better.
‘Pitch Perfect 2″ is slated for release on May 15, 2015 from Universal Pictures.
