The Divergent Series: Allegiant has added a new cast member to its ranks this week. Last month it was announced that Jeff Daniels would be portraying the role of David, the leader of the Bureau of Genetic Welfare, in the upcoming sequel. Earlier this week, another announcement was made that Bill Skarsgard would also be joining the foray of actors. He will play the role of Matthew. Along with Daniels, Skarsgard will be joining Theo James (Four), Shailene Woodley (Tris), and Ansel Elgort (Caleb).
Skarsgard is known for his work in Hemlock Grove, Anna Karenina, and Emperor. He is also the younger brother of actor Alexander Skarsgard.
Allegiant is the last novel in the Veronica Roth Divergent Series. The movie, which is set to hit theaters March 18, 2016, will be the first in the two-part conclusion.
