NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED
The full length trailer of Netflix’s hit series Daredevil was released this morning. We have all been waiting for a real first glimpse at the new characters being introduced this season and the trailer did not disappoint. Joining Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) is new comer Frank Castle, aka The Punisher (Jon Bernthal).
The beginning of the trailer leads us into the home of Castle. From his background story, if you know it, his wife and two children have been murdered by the mob. That event catapulted Castle into taking matters into his own hands, vigilante style and becoming The Punisher. He wages a one man war against the mob and all criminals of NYC. So as we go through the trailer, we see The Punisher taking revenge on some of the bad guys of Hells Kitchen.
Then bring in Matt Murdock and his guilt over his actions as the current crime stopper of Hells Kitchen. What will happen when the two collide? It seems as though there is a little animosity amongst the two heroes of NYC. Who will prevail?
The only person we didn’t see was Elektra (Elodie Yung), who is not only a trained assassin but a supposed love interest of our man in red. Will there be a love triangle when Page gets thrown into the mix? Or how about when Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) comes back into the picture/
I think this new season is going to be filled with angst, violence and a little romance. I can’t wait!
