The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, best known as Mr. Eko from Lost, Simon Edibisi on Oz, and the Dark Elf Kurse in Thor 2: The Dark World has joined Game of Thrones. He was a fan favorite on both Oz and Lost, so it’ll be interesting to see what he does in GOT role.
For now, all we have is speculation on that role. It’s been announced only as “Malko,” a new character for the HBO series. Given the increasing number of locations in Westeros and Essos in Season 5, like Dorne, more Braavos than a single room, and Pentos, it’s almost impossible to say.
Meanwhile, another new role may have been filled as well….
There was a casting call for a character named Clea, a young prostitute who would have a conversation would Tyrion. The rumor mills are swirling and some reliable sources claim that Welsh actress Gwyneth Keyworth has been cast in that small role.
Keyworth has had a few roles in British film, television, and theater, and recently graduated from RADA, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She’d join Iwan Rheon, Michelle Fairley, Josef Altin, and Nathalie Emmanuel as actors who transitioned from the British TV show Misfits to GOT, while Francis Magee went the other way.
