Magic Mike/Jump Street star Channing Tatum took to his social media channels last night to reveal that he is joining the cast of Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

The delay in production of the Gambit movie has opened up Tatum’s schedule to star in the spy sequel and I can’t decide if I’m sad I have to wait for Gambit or delighted to see Tatum in Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
Kingsman star Taron Egerton also recently took to twitter with this little gem

Which seems to indicate that Colin Firth’s Harry Hart may be returning, a welcome sight indeed given that he was ended by the villainous Valentine in the first movie. Unless he’s turned evil somehow, that would be very bad indeed (but also kinda awesome).
A quick look at the IMDb page for the movie shows that Mark Strong and Sophie Cookson will also be reprising their roles as Merlin and Roxy/Lancelot and will be joined by some intriguing names such as Halle Berry and Game of Thrones’ Pedro Pascal. Rumour has it that Elton John is also in talks to join the cast but there’s nothing concrete on that one, yet.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle will once again be directed by Matthew Vaughn, this time from a script written with his long time writing partner Jane Goldman (Kick Ass, X-Men: Days of Future Past). The original script was written by the pair, adapted from the comic book by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is currently slated for a June 2017 release, we’ll keep you posted with any further details as they arise.
