Attack On Titan “Judgement” Review
Attack On Titan “Judgement” is the seventy-sixth episode of the Attack On Titan anime. And is the first of the final season’s part 2. With this episode kicking off right where episode 75 left off. With Levi on the verge of death, Eren fighting Marley on his own and the Paradis Islanders being released by Onyankopon.
Review
With this episode being the first it really doesn’t show. Throwing all of us in at the deep end by having Eren fight Reiner again. Along with the Jaw and Cart titans. Things kick off with an emotional hit as Levi (and his fingers) is seen. Supposedly dead as Hanji checks his status whilst guarded by Eren’s fanatics. Now we all know not even Isayama would kill Levi off like that and with such little fanfare so it’s clear she’s lying. But is saved from being caught in a lie by Zeke coming out of a random titan that was made for him in the “Paths.”
Meanwhile Eren gets into all kinds of problems fighting Reiner. Though it seems like he’s taken down just a little too easily. I 100% think he’s gonna get out of of some clever way. Eren has always got something up his sleeve. Th e other pleasant surprise was Gabby. I didn’t absolutely hate her in this episode, in fact I felt really bad for her. The pacing changes that MAPPA have made vs the manga have improved the storytelling so much. It’s not all action but it isn’t all dialogue either. The balance is good so far, we’re only one episode in and I’m suddenly back on my Attack On Titan obsession again. It’s too soon to say but the anime may well turn out better than the manga here…
