Echo Kellum has been cast as Mr. Terrific in Season 4 of Arrow. Kellum previously played Tommy on the Fox sitcom Ben and Kate.
On Arrow, Kellum is Curtis Holt, the tech genius and inventor who works under Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) at Palmer Industries, at least when he’s not running around as his superhero alter ego. In the comics, Mr. Terrific is Michael Holt, a self-made billionaire and Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete with genius intellect who becomes a superhero after the death of his wife and unborn child, later going on to lead the Justice Society of America. The casting news was first reported by EW.
Mr. Terrific was first revealed as part of Arrow Season 4 at Comic-Con International: San Diego. Curtis will also be a friend to Felicity, and the show’s first openly gay character. This announcement follows the previous casting news, which revealed Neal McDonough as the villain Damien Darhk.
Kellum will make his Arrow debut in episode 402.
Arrow Season 4 premieres on The CW on Oct. 7.
