We’ve been waiting for more celebrity announces for Tampa Bay Comic Con, and we finally got a name, Val Kilmer.

A little About The Star

Val Kilmer is an American actor. Originally a stage actor, Kilmer became popular in the mid-1980s after a string of appearances in comedy films, starting with Top Secret! (1984), then the cult classic Real Genius (1985), as well as the military action film Top Gun (1986) and the fantasy film Willow (1988).

Some of his other notable film roles include Jim Morrison in The Doors (1991), Doc Holliday in Tombstone (1993), armed robber Chris Shiherlis in Heat (1995), Bruce Wayne/Batman in Batman Forever (1995), Simon Templar in The Saint (1997), astronaut Robby Gallagher in Red Planet (2000), and a meth-using informant in The Salton Sea (2002).

Kilmer will be attending the convention on Saturday and Sunday. With autographs and photo-ops are both $80 each, cash only.

Chicago Fire adds Vampire Diaries alum Steven R. McQueen

The Vampire Diaries’ Jeremy Gilbert might have left Mystic Falls to be a vampire hunter, but actor Steven R. McQueen is headed to Chicago. McQueen has joined NBC’s Chicago Fire in a recurring role as new candidate Jimmy Borelli. He makes a dramatic entrance on the first day of work that doesn’t sit well with Chief Boden. And if it doesn’t sit well with Boden, well, it doesn’t sit well with anyone. Chicago Fire returns Tuesday, October 13 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.

2015 BAFTA Award Winners

The winners are in for the 2015 BAFTA Awards.  Boyhood, The Theory of Everything and The Grand Budapest Hotel were the big winners of the night. Boyhood walked away with the Best Film Award, Best Director (Richard Linklater) and Best Supporting Actress (Patricia Arquette). The Theory of Everything was another 3 award winner, claiming Outstanding British Film, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Leading Actor (Eddie Redmayne).
