We are hearing news that not just one show, but two of our favourite TV shows from the 90’s are in the process of looking into a reboot.
In 1990 we saw Will get sent to his respectable Uncles house to live after his mother got worried about his wellbeing in the neighbourhood they lived in, we then spent the next 6 years seeing him grow up and change the lives of the Banks’ residence. His Uncle Phil was the one to guide him into making responsible decisions and made him feel right when he felt bad about doing the right thing. His cousin Carlton often told on Will if something was up, but learnt to change a little in his presence although no one could change his love for Tom Jones and the Carlton Dance was one that we all loved to see but he changed all of their lives as they helped shape his.

In this show we saw a young Will Smith jump into stardom and become the well-known music artist and Actor that he is and with this new reboot it is reported that he will be producing the show, but we are unclear if this will be a complete reboot or a revival at this moment in time.

In 1995 we saw a woman grace our screens a warrior Princess who was introduced to us through Hercules, she used to lead outlaws and terrorise the Greeks, after an encounter with Hercules she changes and sets out to redeem herself with the help of Gabrielle her female companion.

The show ran for 6 years and starred Lucy Lawless as Xena and Renee O’Connor as Gabrielle, with the fact this was filmed in new Zealand long-time fans would have noticed such faces as Karl Urban and Craig Parker, who both went on to do Lord of the Rings and are now more known as well as a couple of appearances by Kevin Sorbo, Hercules himself it was a show with plenty of fight and spirit, showing us that woman could kick hard as well.
We now know that this new Xena is a reboot and because of that we may not be seeing Lucy Lawless in the lead role, they would love to have her apart of it but are not sure the direction of the reboot at this moment in time, so more news will be needed at some point, they do say that will have to modernise her a bit more so she still has the charisma and charm that Lucy brought to the role but they will need some kid of intelligence and sophistication to her to make her more current with what we all watch now.
