Mary Ellen Trainor of “The Goonies” Passes Away

Mary Ellen Trainor, who starred in such movies as The Goonies, Romancing the Stone and Lethal Weapon has passed away at the age of 62 at her home.

Trainor has been a household name since the 80’s when she first starred in Romancing the Stone opposite of Kathleen Turner.  From there, she and her then husband, Robert Zemeckis, collaborated with each other on films such as Back to the Future II, Death Becomes Her and Forrest Gump before their divorce.

Trainor is also known for her role as Mrs. Walsh in the cult favorite film The Goonies as well as being in all four Lethal Weapon films.

She leaves behind one son (Alex), her mother and many siblings.
