Robbie Amell (The Flash) and Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) have been added to the cast of The X-Files Series. They join Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully) and David Duchovny (Fox Mulder), who are reprising their roles.

Both Amell and Ambrose are to be featured in one episode of the series. Character details were scarce and simply described her Agent Einstein as “sharp” and “confident” and his Agent Miller as “smart” and “smooth.
The episodes premiere January 24, 2016 after the NFC Championship game on Fox.
