Tales From The The Vampire Diaries and The Originals Convention, Nashville From A First-timer.
Last month I had the pleasure of attending my very first Creation Convention for The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. I must say I had no idea what to except for this event and I can say it was WORTH IT!! I am honestly mad at myself for not get on this “con life” train a whole lot sooner. This was truly an amazing time.
This isn’t like a comic con. This is a just a bunch of fans of the TV show(s) in one hotel for an entire weekend. A jam packed weekend filled with panels/ Q & A’s, autographs to meet and greets, karaoke to a concert and lets not forget the professional photo ops…..oh my the photo ops. So many photos ops. I told my friend, I only wanted one photo above them all and that was a photo with Mr. Paul Wesley himself (yup I was team Stefan), but I ended up with like 3 more after getting the chance to meet some of the stars. I just had to have photos with them.
One thing I can say this is NOT a cheap event but it is worth saving up for it. You get the chance to hang out with other fans that are just as crazy and passionate as you are about these shows. I honestly enjoyed the panels/q&a’s the best. Most of the stars seemed relaxed and had fun with the questions and story that fans were asking them. Someone asked Paul to be her valentine, which he accepted. Someone asked Micah Parker to sing and he did (that boy got some pipes). But the stars that stole the show in my eyes was Joseph and Daniel. I honestly had no idea they were going to be so damn funny. Like full belly laughs with tears in my eyes funny.
The TVD Nashville con was the first stop of the year as well as the first time to meet Nathan Parsons (Jackson Kenner). What a hottie he is. He was so shy, but a southern gentleman. Yeah he was worth it. It was also the first time we got to see Joseph Morgan and Claire Holt make their creation convention appearances.
Nathaniel Buzolic (Kol Mikaelson) was on hand telling stories and giving out hugs to all. He is such a sweet and genuine person.
Again I say not a cheap event but it is totally worth it. I am already trying to think of ways to attend another one before the year is out. But if not I am going to start saving for next year.
