Deadline’s reported that Warner Bros. TV has acquired the rights to Kresley Cole’s popular series of young adult novels The Arcana Chronicles for Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot’s studio-based Offspring Entertainment.
Writer Seamus Kevin Fahey (Battlestar Galactica, The Following) has been brought in to pen an adaptation of the first book in the series, Poison Princess. Fahey executive produces with Shankman and Gibgot.
The property was brought to Offspring by the company’s TV executive Meredith Ditlow. The company is repped by UTA, which also reps Fahey.
There have been three books in The Arcana Chronicles series, Poison Princess, which was published in 2012, Endless Knight (2013) and the best-selling Dead of Winter (2015), with a fourth novel slated for next year.
