Teen Wolf’s Keahu Kahuanui joins The Originals

Keahu Kahuanui joins The Originals in recurring role

Teen Wolf alum (and brilliant cosplayer – just look at his Aquaman cosplay from SDCC 2016) Keahu Kahuanui is trading the werewolves of Beacon Hills for the werewolves, vampires, witches, hybrids and who knows what else of New Orleans. That’s right, when The Originals returns to screens in January 2017 Keahu will be there too.

TVLine reports that he will play Eddie, a human who knows about the supernatural world (hey, just like Danny did in Teen Wolf). Eddie is described as “sweet, funny, sexy and charming, with an encyclopedic knowledge of random facts”. He’s also going to be Josh’s new boyfriend! I have to admit I’m rather glad of this news on two counts. 1, Keahu is a great actor and I’ve missed seeing him on my screen since he departed from Teen Wolf. 2, given the 5 year time jump we are heading into for The Originals, I was a little worried about Josh’s chances of survival. Not to mention after the deaths of Aiden and Davina in a short space of time Josh (Steven Krueger) needs some good in his life.

Keahu joins recent additions Christina Moses (Containment), Sleepy Hollow‘s Neil Jackson, and Summer Fontana as the older Hope Mikaelson. I hope you guys will join me in welcoming him to the cast. I can’t wait to see how he and all the other new additions fit in to the show.

The Originals returns to The CW in January 2017, day and time to be announced. We will bring you that news as soon as we have it.

Hey, I'm Clare, aka Ciara or C. My current fandoms are The Originals, Shadowhunters and Blindspot, along with a bunch of other stuff I tend to let build up and then binge! I'm a keen, albeit amateur, cosplayer and love attending cons in various cosplays. I'm also the resident comic book girl around these parts, especially small press comics, so if you've got an indie book you want reviewed, I'm your gal! When I'm not doing the fangirl thing I am a keen long-distance hiker, having completed Te Araroa in New Zealand and The Pacific Crest Trail on the West Coast of the US.
