Soundtrack Sunday: Thor: Ragnarok (2017) Yes that’s right we are looking at the amazing soundtrack to Thor’s latest adventure.  Marvel have brought us yet another amazing film in their universe.  The music that goes with this indeed is just as amazing as its cast.

The Film

Thor (Chris Hemsworth – Cabin in the woods) starts out doing what he does best protecting the realms.  After taking care of a pretty big Fire Demon named Sutur who wants to destroy Asgard.  We learn this destruction will bring about Ragnarok a kinda hell.  Thor then returns to Asgard and deduces from the changes things are not right.  Odin (Anthony Hopkins – Hannibal) is acting strange to the point Thor knows it not him.  After threats to Odin he changes into Loki (Tom Hiddleston – Kong: Skull Island) to reveal his tricks.

It seems Odin has been retired to Shady Acres retirement home in New York on Earth.  When Loki and Thor go to retrieve him they find its been demolished.  With a little help from Dr Strange they find Odin who is at the end of his life.  He then explains that Loki and Thor had  a sister Hela (Cate Blanchett – The Lord of the Rings).  Hela is released from her cage when Odin dies and will try to rule all the realms.

The mission

Thor and Loki try to escape Hela and are thrown out of travel to Asgard into Sakaar.  Sakaar is ruled by a Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum – Jurassic Park) who loves battles.  He buys Thor from Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson – West World) and makes him battle as a Gladiator.  He faces of against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo – Now You See Me) and that’s when the fun begins.

Without giving too much away as what I have said so far is in the trailers.  Thor and his newly assembled team must get to Asgard and save the Realms from Hela.  It’s not an easy job and well there is some hilarious disasters on the way.  It’s a film that makes you laugh, gasp and bop along to the soundtrack.
