Review: Siren Episode 6 – Showdown
When Ben (Alex Roe) and Maddie (Fola Evans-Akingbola) attend his mother’s (Sarah-Jane Redmond) fundraising gala, an unexpected guest shows up and offers to put an end to the overfishing that threatens the lives of the mermaids in Bristol Cove.
This episode had my emotions all over the place. I mean, Decker (Ron Yuan) was at the PARTY!!! Like he knows why too much and he is there and the girls are so close. He was even chatting with Ben’s mom. Like he could help her with his mermaid DNA testing. This man is bold and has not care in the world except to get to what he wants.
And lets talk about Donna (Sibongile Mlambo) and Ryn (Eline Powell). They are sisters but it would seem they want to different things. Donna is not happy with Ryn and she feels she is choosing “humans” over her. Even after all the pain the “humans” have cause her. Ryn realizes that there are two types of “humans” the good ones and the bad ones. But Donna isn’t having it. Its either the mermaid way or no way.
Donna and Ryn also decide to go on a hunt, once they find out that Decker is in town and looking for them. And how do Mermaid’s hunt…….they use their Siren call, they sing.

And all that they have song to before can hear it. So that means not only does Decker here is but so does Ben. They both are lured to where the girls are waiting to attack.

Hot Lips Ryn is at it again. Last week we saw her plant one hell of a kiss on Maddie. This week she plants one on Ben and even drops the L word. Now I know she is just copying what she see or that is the way it seems but I think she is smarter then she lets on.

There is also a little scene with Maddie and Helen (Rena Owen). Maddie is questioning how she knows so much about the mermaids. Helen basically tells her there is alot she doesn’t know about her.
