SIREN – “Oil & Water” – Ryn decides they need to find another solution for housing the mermaids, as hiding them becomes increasingly difficult. Ben becomes a mentor to Levi as he tries to learn how men behave on land, while Maddie continues to struggle with her mother’s renewed presence in her life. Oil and Water was the perfect title for this episode. There was a lot of paring off this week that didn’t really mix, no matter how hard they tried.
Frenemy
Lets start with Xander and Katrina, he has her trapped on his boat. He is determined to get her to help him find “the one” that killed his father. I honestly think Xander is making a bad choice trying to partner up with her. He doesn’t realize just how tight this mermaid pack is. I don’t think Katrina fully understands what he is asking of her. This partnership is going to be very interesting to watch.

Much to Helen’s surprise, Rick comes back to find out more about the family history. I still don’t think she gave him all the info, but she gave him a lot. She told him the family secret. He took it better than I thought he would. But we still don’t know how he is related to her.

Yes, Ben and Maddie decide to take the pack out on a little learning journey. Lets just say some of them were very fast learners. Levi was out there working his mermaid mojo on the ladies. And of course not everyone was happy about this but he managed to hold his own.

I knew this was coming, but I wasn’t ready for it. I am really interested in seeing where they take this. Cause it looks like right now Ryn is running the show. She is having both her cake and eating it too. Ben and Maddie seem to be OK with it and along for the ride.
