Siren
Season 2 Episode 2
“The Wolf at the Door”
Ben, Maddie and Ryn desperately try to keep the newly arrived mermaid pack hidden from the rest of the town; Elaine grows more suspicious of Helen and her connections to their family.
Triangle
The love triangle, made up of Ben, Maddie, and Ryn, still seems to be going strong. Even with their time apart they all still seem to still have strong feelings for each other. Ben is still struggling with her siren song, but he is doing his best to try to get help. He even went to a support group.
Any day with Ryn is a good one. #Siren pic.twitter.com/SamG7NDEjN

Ryn (Eline Powell) is in a bit of a power struggle with one of the mermaids. Which, thanks to the IMBb page, I was able to find out her name is Katrina played by the very beautiful Aylya Marzolf. I have a feeling this fight between them is going to get worse before it gets better, if it ever gets better. Katrina is full of hate for the humans even though Maddie (Fola Evans-Akingbola) and Ben (Alex Roe) are really good to them. Katrina is determined to do things her way, even if that means getting other mermaids hurt.

The Newly Human
The newly human aka the mermaids are still getting use to their legs and all things human around them. They are not used to their out of water lives. Even food is a challenge for them, but leave it to Ben to make it fun.

They seem to cause trouble everywhere they go. Like when they stop at a mini mart in town, things get out of hand. Ryn to the recuse again.
Speaking of water, the mermaids are feeling the effects of being out of the water too long. They all need to get back into the ocean ASAP. Ryn is also showing side effects of her lack of salt water. Ben thinks he knows a place that they all could go for a night swim. Sadly, they were not counting on a bunch of drunk humans deciding to crash their night swim.
Family Ties
Helen decides to ask Ben’s dad Ted (David Cubitt) for some money to help out with taking care of the new mermaids. She insists that since they are “family” he won’t tell her no. What Helen doesn’t count on is Elaine (Sarah-Jane Redmond) showing up at her shop questioning why she needs the money.
Elaine knows something is up. To the point that she steals Helen’s used coffee cup. She is going to runs sometimes. The truth behind Helen and Ted might be coming to light sooner than later.
Can’t wait to see how this plays out. Until next time. See you around the cove.
