The Next Arrowverse Crossover Event Date Has Been Revealed

Arrowverse cw crossover Supergirl

The CW revealed when the next big DC TV Universe (or “Arrowverse”) crossover would happen.

In an unprecedented event, Arrow will be paired with Supergirl on Monday, November 27th; The Flash will be paired with Legends of Tomorrow on Tuesday, November 28th, for a two-night, four-part crossover event.

There were no details given, via Deadline, as to what the storyline of the next crossover would be; in 2016, the four CW DC TV series came together for the “Invasion!” storyline, which saw the various DC heroes defending Earth from an alien invasion. Fans were a quite critical of the event, in that Supergirl only featured a minor (as in last-second) connection to the larger storyline; however, the Supergirl showrunners explained at Comic-Con that Supergirl will get a proper and full role in this upcoming crossover.

What Will Supergirl Bring?

According to those involved with the show, fans can expect that to change with this year’s crossover. While speaking to ComicBook.com at San Diego Comic-Con, Supergirl showrunner Robert Rovner hinted at the crossover truly being a four-show event.

“It’s a true four-part crossover that will start [with Supergirl] and be on this fall,” Rovner revealed. “And that’s all we can say about it. It’s going to be super.”

“It’s going to be awesome!” echoed co-showrunner Jessica Queller. “Best crossover ever!”

While the crew were decidedly mum about the crossover’s plot, the cast began to joke about the massive scale of the crossover – and the potential of bringing other shows into the fold.

“We’re going to have a new series called Crossover.” joked Mehcad Brooks, who plays Supergirl‘s Jimmy Olsen/Guardian. “And it’s only going to be crossovers. Like Jane the Virgin [would become] Jane the Super Virgin.”

“Just every show in Vancouver,” added The Girl of Steel herself, Melissa Benoist.

While it’s safe to assume that those particular crossovers won’t occur, fans are set to experience a DCTV crossover unlike any other – which will be led by Supergirl, on The CW later this fall.

Supergirl season 3 will premiere on Monday, October 9th, at 8/7c, on The CW.

Arrow season 6 will premiere on October 12th, at 9/8c, on its new night, Thursday on The CW.
