MegaCon Orlando Announces Star-Studded Line Up, Programming, Panels, Exhibitors and Much More

 

 

Orlando, FL – March 21, 2017 – MegaCon™ Orlando, the Southeast’s largest fan convention with shows in both Orlando and Tampa Bay, has announced new celebrity appearances and programming for this year’s show. MegaCon Orlando is set to return May 25 – 28, 2017 to the Orange County Convention Center with a star-studded lineup. Recently added celebrities include:

In addition to over 400,000 square feet of shopping madness and an incredible celebrity line up, MegaCon Orlando’s 2017 programming highlights include:

The Batmobile From Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman Film

Get up close to one of the most famous vehicles in all of film history; The Batmobile from Tim Burton’s 1989 movie “Batman”.

SAINTS & SINNERS HORROR FILM FESTIVAL – SATURDAY & SUNDAY

Tampa Bay’s original Horror Film Festival started in 2002 and has since screened 100’s of Short and Feature Films, giving Independent Filmmakers an opportunity to introduce fans to their work. For the first time, the festival will be held inside MegaCon Orlando, running all day Saturday and Sunday. All screenings and panels are included in MegaCon Orlando admission, but seating is first come first serve.

POKEMON 20TH ANNIVERSARY BUG with cosplayer PIKABELLECHU

Are you the biggest Pokemon fan in the world? Then come and see your dream car, the Pokemon 20th Anniversary celebration VW Bug, done up like a giant Pikachu! Free photo ops all weekend!

BACK TO THE FUTURE TIME MACHINE

Time-circuits on. Flux-capacitor…fluxing. Engine running… well, the engine won’t actually be running, but come and see one of the most famous vehicles in all of film history and help The Michael J. Fox Foundation in its fight against Parkinson’s disease.

HALO ODST DROP POD EXPERIENCE

Visionary Entertainment Inc. will be joining MegaCon Orlando this year and bringing with it the Halo Drop Pod experience. Jump feet first into Hell with this Halo experience. Visionary Entertainment brings Halo ODST characters to life, in a performance followed by a ride in the ODST Drop Pod simulated, plus green screen photos ops too!

FREEPLAY RETRO VIDEO GAME LOUNGE presented by Charity Nerds

Reconnect with all your favorite console video games! Over 50 gaming stations offering a huge selection of games from the in-house library and hundreds of games available to play for free!

GREATER FLORIDA LEGO USERS GROUP

Hundreds of square feet of Lego wonderland. Sprawling display with fun and interesting moving parts. 

FEAR FILM STUDIOS FEST – FRIDAY ONLY!

See all the Independent Short and Feature Films from FEAR FILMS STUDIO. All screenings and panels are included in MegaCon Orlando admission.

COSTUME CONTEST

MegaCon Orlando is the Southeast’s largest comic, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming convention. In 2016, more than 100,000 fans attended MegaCon Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center on Memorial Day Weekend. MegaCon Tampa Bay launched in 2016 and plans to expand in 2017 when it will welcome 45,000 fans to the Tampa Convention Center, September 29 through October 1, 2017.
