Music Monday – Gotta Get Through This

Music to help you face what the week has to offer

When the days get shorter and the evenings get darker it’s hard to find your motivation some days. And Mondays are the worst of all. To help you out a little, this Music Monday we have compiled a mini playlist of tracks to help you get your motor running for the start of the week!

The first pick from the gang at FANdemonium Towers is from our Commander in Chief – Jenn. She said that she has had Kings of Leon on a pretty solid rotation and their music gets her through so here is Use Somebody. It’s a more mellow track than some coming up later in our playlist but it’s got great energy and I defy you not to join in on the WOAHs!

This next track has gotten me through some of my longest, toughest days. It might not be a rocking anthem but it is uplifting as hell. If you told me I could only listen to one album for the rest of my life it would be Graceland by Paul Simon and this track in particular. Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes by Paul Simon ft. Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

Next to choose was our Instagram queen Brina who said she always kicks the Monday blues with some Linkin Park. Hybrid Theory is an insanely good album, I was lucky enough to see the band perform it start to finish couple of years ago and it’s lost NONE of its energy or power. So here, from Linkin Park’s debut album Hybrid Theory, is opening track Papercut.

The next track on our playlist comes with an explicit lyrics warning so…yeah…you’ve been warned.

My go to Monday Morning song, guaranteed to get me ready to face whatever the day has to throw at me, is Thrift Shop by Macklemore ft Wanz. I don’t have much more to say about this track – even my mother gets hyped up to this one!

Our newest contributor Angel picked the next one and I cheered a little when she did. This is a killer track with an amazing video too. German industrial metal outfit Rammstein and the absolute banger that is Feuer Frei! The movie buffs among you might recognise this one as the track/band playing at the start of 2002s xXx.

How you guys doing? Feeling more like you can attack Monday now?

Is there a track that really moves you FANdemaniacs? Let us know what you are listening to this Music Monday!
