Music Monday: Ear Worms

Ear Worms

Ear worms! That one song that get stuck in your head.  The song that will just randomly pop in your mind at the most random times and it doesn’t wanna leave. Sometime you like the ear worm, cause its catchy and has a good beat but then after the tenth time you start to hate it. And every time you turn on the TV or Radio it is there playing.

For me my latest ear worm is that damn song “Middle” by Zedd, Maren Morris, and Grey. I useto like that song but now it just won’t go away. Its in commercials on TV and I hear it on the radio all the time. The choirs is so catchy that I find myself singing it at random times.

Worms Round Up

I asked around to see if my friends wanted to share their ear worms with me and they were quick to share.

First up is Miranda, she said her ear worm is “Ode to Thinking” by Bobby Long. I would totally be okay with this song being my ear worm Miranda. It is way better then “Middle”.

Next up is Ciara and here ear worm is “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran. She said this one has been in head since last April and she hated it at first but now it’s sort comforting. I was the opposite with this song, I loved it at first and now I am hate it. It is so played out. Yet I can’t help but sing it whenever I hear it. Damn You Ed and your catchy ass lyrics.

Tracy’s turn to tell her ear worm and it is “Havana” by Camila Cabello. She says songs haunts her and she hates its as much as “Watch Me Whip”. I totally agree with you Tracy this song is just wrong. Its bugs me to no end. If I hear it, I change the station ASAP but even then it is not soon enough I end up singing that damn choirs “Havana with nana” UGH damn it! It will be in my head all day now.

My boy Dills said his ear worm and I had to laugh cause I don’t know anyone that doesn’t love this song in some way. I am sorry about this one everyone cause you will now have this in your head all damn day. Hell maybe even tomorrow.  Dills ear worm is “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

My girl Mandy said if you doesn’t change this song before it ends it will be stuck in hear head all day. That song is “Chandelier” By Sia. As I am typing this out I am already sing this song in my head.  Thanks Mandy.

I asked my friend Dee and she said she had none. (like her) But she did say her daughter get The Beatles song, “I am the Walrus”. Oddly enough I don’t this song. So I am happy to say it will not be an ear worm for me. That one is a trip. I think I would go crazy if that was stuck in my head all day.

My girl Jenn L’s ear worm is more of a classic and I can see why it can get stuck in your head. It is catchy AF. Its by The Commodores “Brick House”. A 70’s classic jam that makes you wanna bob your head, snap your fingers and get your groove on.

My bestie Bon said she like her ear worm cause its kinda new. Her is by Foster the People “Sit Next to Me”. It is kind catchy but I for me, I don’t think it would get stuck in my head….much.

Gig told me her’s was the new Drake song, “Nice or What”. I can totally see how this was can get stuck cause of how catchy the chorus is. Funny part is that as much as I want to dislike Drake, I can’t help but love like every song he puts out.

My last one is from a friend on Facebook, Rick. He say he hate this song and hates that its his ear worm. “Walk it like I Talk it” Migos. I fully agree with Rick on this on. I personally don’t like most of the rap/hop music today. It lacks meaning and feeling but that is a whole another blog post.

Well that is all folks, please don’t hate me for getting of these songs stuck in your head today. But let me know below if you have any ear worms. Catch ya on the B-side. PurpleBrina out.
