Music Monday: Creepy Spooky Songs

Creepy Spooky Songs

Creepy

Halloween is upon us and not a moment too soon. I feel with this 31 Days of Halloween that we got from Freeform this year, I am almost over it already. Don’t get me wrong I love Hocus Pocus but after the 50th time…….OVER IT.

But I can’t go out of this month without posting about music of the season. Let’s be honest, Halloween music is lacking big time. So this one is going to be a mixed bag of Halloween music as well as some songs that are just creepy and spooky to me.

Traditional

Let’s start with a few we all know and love. “I Put a Spell on You”.

Of course we must have this classic tune “Monster Mash”.

Even though he didn’t put this out as a Halloween tune, it fits perfectly for the season. The King of Pop’s “Thriller”.

This one tops my list as a classic Halloween song, but it never was super popular. Maybe it is a first time for you or a millionth like me; I give you, “Anything can Happen On Halloween” by Tim Curry.

Theme Songs

These are just songs that kinda creep me out. Or I can’t hear them without being freaked out. Some are just movie theme songs, but still they work.

I must have the theme to all Friday the 13th movies.

Anything with kids singing is always creepy to me and this one tops the list of creepiest of all the theme songs. Nightmare on Elm Street, Freddy Krueger theme song.

Not So Creepy but Still Halloweenie

Now these songs are more fun and upbeat, but work for this Halloween theme as far as I am concerned.

Fresh Prince and Jazzy Jeff’s “Nightmare On My Street”

This one is really old, but the video is creepy AF. Rockwell‘s “Somebody’s Watching Me”

I’m going to include this song only cause my son loves it so much and I guess it fits the theme. It is in a very popular cartoon series Hotel Transylvania. I am not the biggest fan of this group, but the song is cute and so are the movies.

I think I am tapped out of Halloween themed songs. Can you think of any that I forgot? If so drop a comment below. Have a happy safe Halloween and I will catch you in the B-side.
