MegaCon Is Heading To Orlando, Are You Ready

MegaCon Orlando, the Southeast’s largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming event, will take place Thursday, May 26 through Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the Orange County convention Center. The four-day convention showcases over 1,000 exhibits headlined by top celebrities from each genre and will attract more than 100,000 fans. MegaCon continues to receive international attention, inviting thousands of fans from all over the world to this multi-genre convention.

ACTIVITIES

MegaCon Orlando features numerous activities and attractions for fans to participate in over the span of the four-day convention. Some of this year’s attractions include celebrity photo sessions, autograph sessions, panels/Q&As, artist alley, costume contest, shopping, workshops/seminars, kids zone/ family lounge and speed dating.

CELEBRITY GUESTS

MegaCon Orlando 2016 hosts notable celebrity guests as well as featured guests in comic, scifi, horror, anime, gaming and cosplay genres. Artist Alley

This is a ”must experience area” for anyone interested in meeting the rising stars and the people who work the front lines of the industry. Here you’ll find it all – comics, graphic novels, limited edition prints and best of all, original art and sketches.

Shopping/Exhibitors

Over 500 retailers from around the world will join MegaCon 2016. Vendors range from comics, anime, gaming, science fiction and/or horror.

Costume Contest

This exciting event features creative fans showcasing their original costumes derived from the comic, sci-fi, horror, anime and fantasy worlds – all on stage for a chance to win bragging rights.

Kids Zone & Family Lounge

For parent(s) with kids under 12, the Kids Zone and Family Lounge is a quiet corner to get away from the crowds for a bit. There will be many activities for kids including LEGO play stations, art and crafts tables, reading nook. *Note – this area is not a daycare service; all children must be with an adult at all times.

Workshops & Seminars

Professional will lead numerous workshops and seminars over the weekend. *schedule to be announced

Geekfest Film Festival

A chance for all Geek Indie Filmmakers to have their project screened at three of the biggest conventions in North America, including MegaCon!

Star Wars Events by the 501st Legion

It will be a busy weekend with Panels, Workshops and all kinds of Star Wars themed activities. The Stormtroopers will provide a spectacle for the eye with an elaborate booth, and amazing photo opportunities throughout the weekend.

Speed Dating

Back by popular demand, speed dating is returning to MegaCon! Come and join in the fun and experience the thrill of meeting your potential soul mate, future spouse or maybe someone a little more casual! Mixed genre sessions all day Friday, Saturday & Sunday!

On site sign up only! This is a 19+ event.
